"청주시는 다양한 공예문화정책으로 방문할 때마다 새로운 모습을 발견할 수는 곳입니다. 한국과 이탈리아가 앞으로도 지속적인 문화교류가 이뤄지길 기대합니다"

한국관광총회 개최기념 청주국제공예비엔날레 앙코르특별전 개막행사 참석을 위해 이탈리아 베니스 시립 유리학교 따떼오 주께리 교장이 청주를 방문했다.

따떼오 주께리 교장은 개막식에서 "동양의 문화를 대표하는 한국과 서양의 문화를 대표하는 이탈리아 양국이 다양한 문화교류를 통해 상생과 발전의 길을 모색해야 한다"고 말했다.

그는 "남상우 청주시장을 만난 자리에서 문화교류 사업의 일환으로 오는 11월 베니스에서 열리는 문화박람회에 청주시를 공식초청키로 했다"고 밝혔다.

문화박람회는 베니스시가 주최하고 이탈리아 정부가 후원하는 국제적인 박람회로 직지와 공예비엔날레를 테마로 전시, 학술, 사례발표 등 다양한 행사가 진행될 예정이다.

따떼오 주께리 교장은 2007년 청주국제공예비엔날레에서 이탈리아 초대국가관으로 참여한 바 있으며, 24일 개막된 공예비엔날레 앙코르특별전에서도 이탈리아 유리장인 8명의 작품 40점을 출품하는 등 한국과 이탈리아의 문화교류 가교역할을 하고 있다. /안순자기자 asj1322@
